The Fight Pit proudly walked out of the 2008 Tiger Balms Tournament with his head held high for his 3rd year in a row. With All of the fighters that entered the event walked away with championship medals.
Steve Harvey, fighting in the Super Heavy weight division of Pankration and Travis Godin fighting in mid weight Pankration fought many amazing bouts with high impact strikes and jaw dropping take downs. These 2 skilled fighters fought through each opponent with skill and determination winning them both a gold medal. Jason Callegaro, fighting in the Tiger Balms for the second year in a row, won himself a Silver medal in a coin toss . Dylan Lopez, fought in the youth WKC ( Semi-Contact continuous sparring) division winning a bronze medal. Following with another bronze medal from Joshua Cockell fighting in the Adult Sanshu division.
Monique Johnson a young fighter with The Fight Pit, tore up the mats and cleaned house. She dropped jaws and grabbed everyone’s attention with her hard strikes and amazing take downs. Monique walked out of the tournament with 4 gold medals in youth Pankration , adult Pankration, youth WKC and Adult WKC. This rising fighting has a promising future in the Martial Arts World.
